The Conners' Adult ADHD Rating Scales (CAARS-2)

A world-accepted tool used by GPs, psychiatrists, and psychologists globally to support the formal diagnosis of ADHD. If you are ready to see your GP or clinician for an ADHD diagnosis, completing the CAARS-2 first gives them the standardised, objective data they need to guide the diagnostic process.

Arriving at your GP or clinician appointment with your CAARS-2 results already completed gives them the standardised, objective data they need to guide the diagnostic process.
What is the clinician interpretation sheet?+
The clinician interpretation sheet is included with your results and explains what the CAARS is, how your scores are structured, what each subscale measures, and how to read the results. It is designed to help your GP or clinician understand your results. Results can be shared with your GP or clinician for interpretation.
Will my GP accept this?+
Many clinicians use standardised questionnaires such as the CAARS as part of their evaluation process. The clinician interpretation sheet included with your results is designed to help your GP understand the CAARS-2 and your scores. Acceptance and interpretation is at the discretion of your clinician.
Will my results be sent to my GP?+
No. Results and the clinician interpretation sheet are sent only to you. You decide if and how you share them with your GP or clinician for interpretation.
Is this suitable for medication?+
Medication decisions can only be made by a treating clinician following a full clinical evaluation. Questionnaire results alone are not sufficient for a prescription.
Who can use this service?+
This service is for Australian residents aged 18 years and over only. The CAARS is validated for adults aged 18 to 80. It is not suitable for anyone under 18.
When will I receive my questionnaire link?+

Are there any Medicare or insurance rebates?+
